Izikhombisi-ndlela zokwenza i-moong dal halwa, iresiphi ye-Navratri:
1. Cwilisa moong dal ubusuku bonke noma amahora angu-4-5. Gaya ngamanzi amancane kakhulu ngemuva kokukhipha amanzi ukuze wenze unamathisela obukhulu.
2. Fudumeza ipani elinganamatheli bese ufaka i-moong dal paste. Hlanganisa unamathisele emlilweni ophakathi kuze umbala uphenduke nsundu ngegolide. Ngokuvamile, i-moong dal ithatha imizuzu engu-30-45 ukupheka. Bona ukuthi ungqimba lwe-ghee luyabonakala ukuyigwema ekunamatheleni epanini.

4. Hlanganisa ngemuva kwemizuzwana engama-20-30. Vumela umbala ube nsundu ngokusagolide.
5. Epanini elijulile, bilisa amanzi bese ufaka ushukela. Yenza isiraphu bese uyigcina eceleni.
6. Cwilisa imicu yesafroni enkomishini yobisi oluncane bese uyigcina eceleni.
7. Ngemuva kokuthi ingxube iba nsundu ngegolide, engeza isiraphu kashukela uhlanganise kahle.
8. Faka isafron ukuze uthole umbala ophuzi.
9. Fafaza amantongomane aqoshiwe ne-cardamom powder ukuze uhlobise.
